Lovely antiqued copper wire wrapped Lotus Petal earrings (pics 1-4), adorned with Celestial Crystal beads. I used 18 gauge wire for these earrings. 18 gauge is slightly thicker and more sturdier than 20 gauge (please note, most of ear wires usually made of 20 gauge wire). Length is approximately 2 1/2 " (64 mm) and width is approximately 1 3/4 " (44 mm). Antiqued, sealed with Renaissance wax and hand-polished for warm aged look. The only part that remains unsealed is the ear wire, this way the skin can benefit from the healing properties of copper.

Copper (bare) has been worn on the body for centuries and it's believed to be beneficial for the wearer, it is thought to assist the body with repairing tissues, oxygenating the blood, easing arthritis, strengthening the female reproductive system and increasing vitality.

To help your copper jewelry stay looking as is, I have coated and polished it with a clear protective coating, Renaissance Wax (developed in the British Museum Research Laboratory by Dr A E A Werner). This does a good job preventing the metal from tarnishing. Mild soap and water shouldn't damage the finish, however I recommend removing your jewelry before swimming, showering or bathing; using household cleaners, abrasives, chemicals, essential oils; and applying lotions or perfumes; doing manual jobs like gardening, washing dishes or workouts ... Do not use jewelry cleaners on this jewelry. The best way to bring back luster is to use jewelry polishing cloth that can be easily purchased at most craft, jewelry stores or online.
